BEIRUT (AA) - A new wave of Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon and suburbs of Beirut and Mount Lebanon governorate injured 11 people, state news agency NNA reported.

Sources indicated the advance of Israeli forces into the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab, accompanied by strikes from warplanes.

Seven people were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Shaqra in Bint Jbeil district, while four others were injured in shelling targeting Srifa.

An Ethiopian woman was wounded in an airstrike on an apartment in Aramoun, Mount Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes struck the Al-Kafa'at and Hara Harik areas in Beirut. The towns of Taybeh, Majdal, Zibqin, Yater, Kfar Qaana, Ain Baal, and Deir Kifa were also hit.

On Monday evening, the Health Ministry said the death toll since the start of Israeli attacks had risen to 886, including 111 children and 67 women, with 2,141 injured.

The current regional escalation began after US-Israeli attacks on Iran on Feb. 28. Israel later expanded its operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, despite a ceasefire that was reached in late 2024.
